Active work is never interrupted
While you're clicking, typing, or scrolling anywhere in the dashboard, your session simply stays open. There's nothing to configure and nothing you'll notice — the timeout only starts counting once the page goes quiet.
Nothing happens
Any activity in the tab keeps your session alive indefinitely. You can work for hours without ever seeing a prompt.
A prompt appears
After 20 minutes with no activity, a dialog asks "Are you still there?" with two choices: Stay here or Sign out.
Automatic sign-out
If neither button is clicked within 2 minutes, the session ends on its own and the browser returns to the sign-in page.
Stay here, or sign out

| Sign out | Your session ends immediately and you're returned to the sign-in page — the same as choosing "Sign out" from the menu. |
| No answer | Treated the same as choosing Sign out, once the 2-minute window passes — nothing is left open on an unattended screen. |
This applies to the dashboard session only. Management Keys and streaming keys used by applications and automation follow their own, separate lifecycle — see Authentication & RBAC.
A clear choice, never a silent one
The countdown is tied to when you stopped using the page, not to a fixed time since you signed in — a long, active work session never gets cut off.
Once the prompt is showing, only the two buttons resolve it. Moving the mouse near an unattended screen won't quietly dismiss the warning on someone else's behalf.
